Johnny Depp has taken on the role of concerned son.
Unfortunately, it wasn't for some big Hollywood production.
The Dark Shadows star was spotted entering Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles at about 11:30 p.m. on Sunday.
As for the reason behind the visit?
A source tells E! News that Depp's mother,Betty, was admitted to the hospital and is in the facility's respiratory ICU.
Depp and his mom, who has frequently been by her son's side during award shows and red-carpet premieres, were spotted earlier in the weekend arriving at the hospital via his limo.
While we've reached out to the 49-year-old actor's rep, there has been no word back yet.
Here's hoping for a speedy recovery.
