Pitch Perfect 2 confirms Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson return

Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson have been officially confirmed for Pitch Perfect 2.

The actresses will reprise their roles as Becca and Fat Amy in the sequel, Universal Pictures has confirmed.

Elizabeth Banks will make her directorial debut on the musical comedy.

The original film centred around women's college a cappella group The Barden Bellas, and their struggle to win a national singing competition.

Original writer Kay Cannon has returned to work on the Pitch Perfect 2 script.

Wilson previously said that she is "excited" about the potential of the next movie.
Kendrick will next be seen in Happy Christmas and Into the Woods.

Wilson is currently filming Night at the Museum 3.

Pitch Perfect 2 will arrive on May 15, 2015.
