Glee Scoop: Five Things We Know About Season Four!

Who knew when Ryan Murphy joined Twitter he'd give us so much stuff to talk about besidesfirst-look photos?
The Glee creator had a Q&A with fans earlier today, and we got scoop on Kurt's New York plan, Sam's love life and an episode that might make fans nervous or excited, depending on your interpretation. Here are the five things we know about Glee's fourth season, courtesy of Ryan Murphy:
1. A Couple in Danger? Murphy tweeted that the writers are currently working on an episode that he's really excited about, and it's called "The Break-Up." Of course, that title doesn't necessarily have to apply to a couple. It could be a friendship, or even—dare we say it, the New Directions? Or maybe someone breaks a leg? Ahhh, showbiz jokes. We're full of them.
2. The Devil Wears Capes: Kurt (Chris Colfer) might be working at the be-all, end-all fashion magazine: Vogue. When a fan asked if Kurt would have an uplifting storyline after being rejected from NYADA, Murphy said that Kurt would "triumph" at Vogue.com. Let's hope this storyline is real, because we'd love to see Kurt face off with an Anna Wintour-type.
3. Turkey Time: A Wemma wedding won't be the only time the whole gang is back together in Lima. Murphy revealed that they are planning a "great two-part Thanksgiving episode." And wouldn't you know it, Sectionals will be happening right around that time of year.
4. Sam's New Leading Lady: Murphy confirmed that we won't be seeing more of Sam (Chord Overstreet) and Mercedes (Amber Riley), at least in the first half of the season, but he won't be single for long. Sam will have a new girlfriend this year, but the big question is will it be a newbie or someone we already know? Sam and Quinn (Dianna Agron) fans are waiting with bated breath.
5. Starting the Year Off Right: The first big group number of the year is…drumroll please…"Chasing Pavement" by the wonderful Adele! As you have seen in the past, Glee can cover the crap out of her. And that's quite a sad song, so it makes you wonder why they'll be singing it in the first place. Either way, we can't wait to hear it!

Coldplay's Chris Martin Flubs Lyrics in Concert, Blames...the Olympics?!

Well, we may not know which British acts exactly are locked in to bookend the London 2012 games and perform at the Olympics closing ceremony, but we're pretty sure we can cross one English supergroup off the list.
Chris Martin did nothing for Coldplay's chances of an invite this week when he uncharacteristically flubbed the lyrics to one of the band's big hits, and quickly placed the blame for the musical memory lapse on an unlikely source.
While he was clearly joking, since the old adage tells us that there's truth behind every jest, we can only assume that not even Grammy-winning, movie star-marrying, Brit rock royalty has found the antidote to Olympics fever.
Martin's flub came amid the opening lines of "Warning Sign," which he performed (or at least tried to) to the capacity crowd at Boston's TD Garden.
"Oh f--k," he said, to the delighted cheers of the crowd after losing his lyrical way just a few words into the track. Luckily, he had a scapegoat at the ready.
"I was thinking about the Olympics," he said. "I was distracted. I was not in the breakup frame of mind I needed to be in. I'm gonna get back into it; I'm gonna stop thinking about pole vaulting and things like that.
"It's a big deal. You can't blame a guy for thinking about it every once in a while...but the best concert in the world is happening right here, right now."
He probably should've quit while he was ahead.
"F--k the Olympics. Let's have a f--king great time in Boston," he said, before starting the song again and then, midsentence, reevaluating his incitement.
"Please don't tweet that I said 'F--k the Olympics'...I'll never hear the end of it," he said, without missing a beat.
We'll file that one under famous last words. Of course, there is a reason Martin immediately came to regret his good-natured (albeit potty-mouthed) jibes. Coldplay is scheduled to perform at the Festival of Flame closing ceremony of the Paralympics in (where else?) London's Olympic Stadium Sept. 9.

Michael Phelps Misses Threepeat Despite Samuel L. Jackson's Tweets, Becomes Most Medaled Olympian

Michael Phelps, Samuel L. Jackson
For Michael Phelps, his luck in London continues to come up short. Kinda, sorta.
The U.S. swimmer found himself having to settle for silver after he was defeated by South Africa's Chad le Clos in the 200-meter butterfly on Tuesday.
The loss also means that Phelps failed to win the same event he dominated at the last two summer games—despite the best tweeting effforts of Samuel L. Jackson, who has been continually sharing his enthusiasm for the Olympics via Twitter ever since they began.
"Just so ya know, looking forward to MIKE P going knee deep in ALL THAT ASS in the 200 FLY!!!" Jackson wrote a few hours earlier. "Go USA!"
But Phelps shouldn't feel too disappointed.
After all, soon after losing the 200 butterfly, he managed to snag the gold in the 4x200-meter freestyle relay, earning his 19th career medal and thus surpassing Soviet gymnast Larisa Latynina to become the Olympian with the most medals ever.
Hmm, maybe Jackson's attempts at sending Phelps' good vibes inadvertently panned out after all.
Meanwhile, another celeb, Tom Hanks has also been getting into the Olympic (and Twitter!) spirit.
"Solo! Boxx! Wambach! And Megan Rapinoe! I love the US Women of Olympic Soccer!" hetweeted at the start of the games. "Good luck from a major fan! Hanx."
Sure enough, the U.S. team went on to beat North Korea today, 1-0.

New Couple Alert! Taylor Swift Spends Weekend With RFK's Grandson Conor Kennedy

Taylor Swift, Conor KennedyWENN.com
Forget the music biz—Taylor Swift is getting into politics.
Nope, 22-year-old country songbird is not running for office. But she is apparently dating a Kennedy.
That would be Conor Kennedy, aka the 18-year-old son of Robert Kennedy Jr. and the late Mary Richardson Kennedy.
Just last Wednesday, Swift and Kennedy were spotted having lunch at Marcella's Pizza in Mount Kisco, N.Y.
While reps for the twosome declined to comment, they were together again this weekend at the Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port, Mass. The New York Postreports the lovebirds had some fun jumping on a trampoline (yes, a trampoline) shortly after Swift arrived on Friday. Later on, they went to a local house party, where they snuck away for a romantic hand-holding stroll on the beach.
Saturday was reserved for sailing. Swift even had some chat time with Conor's grandmother,Ethel Kennedy. And on Sunday, they were spotted attending church, according to the Post.
And Swift's trip didn't end there. She also hit the Hyannis Port Yacht Club yesterday and the Four Seas ice cream parlor.
Funny enough, it was speculated earlier this month that Swift had a romance brewing with Conor's cousin Patrick Schwarzenegger after she was spotted hugging him over the fourth of July weekend at the Hyannis Port compound.
Wonder if Swift has been asked to sing at the Democratic National Convention yet.

Now we want to hear from you. Do you think Taylor and Conor make a good couple? Chime in below.

U.S. Women's Gymnastics: Everything to Know About Gold Medal-Winning Olympic Team!

U.S. Women's Gymnastic Team, Aly Raisman, Gabby Douglas, Jordyn Wieber, McKayla Maroney, Kyla Ross
Meet the new Golden Girls: Jordyn Wieber, Aly RaismanGabby Douglas Kyla Ross andMcKayla Maroney.
Today, the flipping amazing U.S. women's gymnastics team won the gold medal at the London Olympics, with the so-called Fab Five beating out Russia and Romania for the top honor and securing the first team gold for the U.S. since 1996.
So who are the girls representing the red, white and blue across the pond? Let's get to know these extraordinary ladies.
Jordyn Wieber
Jordyn Wieber: The 17-year-old gymnast was heartbroken Sunday when she didn't score high enough to compete in the Olympic all-around final. (In an upset, Aly Raisman andGabby Douglas advanced and, due to a quirk in the rules that only allows two per team to move on, Wieber missed the cut despite outscoring many finalists from other countries.) But the reigning world all-around gymnastics champ did complete in team finals Tuesday, helping Team USA to bring home the gold. According to her team profile page, Wieber enjoys "hanging out with friends, shopping, spending time with my family, scrapbooking and crafts." She also revealed to E! News that she's a major Belieber and a fan of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
Gabby Douglas
Gabby Douglas: This smiling 16-year-old, nicknamed the Flying Squirrel for her prowess on the uneven bars, is one of two American's representing the women in this week's individual all-around final on Thursday. According to her team profile, she's a huge Twi-hard and her favorite show is Vampire Diaries.
Aly Raisman
Aly Raisman: This 18-year-old, who also beat out longtime BFF Wieber for a spot in the all-around finals, told International Gymnast Magazine she considers veteran Alicia Sacramone "a really good role model." Raisman's parents stole the spotlight during Sunday's team qualifiers, swaying from side to side and willing her to "stick it!"
sKyla Ross
Kyla Ross: This 15-year-old isn't just a pro on the uneven bars: She's also a fan of E! News' first family. "Can't believe we got to meet Bruce Jenner!" Ross tweeted Thursday, linking to a picture of the women's gymnastics team smiling alongside the former decathlete. "I love the Kardashians" According to Ross' team profile, she's also a major Hunger Games fan and loves ABC's Modern Family.
McKayla Marone
McKayla Maroney: This 16-year-old World Champion vaulter, who soared higher than any other gymanst during the prelims, has a celebrity doppelgänger: Posh Spice! Maroneytweeted, "I love when ppl say I look like Victoria Beckham! haha!" We totally see the resemblance. These two should collaborate—couture leotards, perhaps?
We couldn't be prouder of America's great gold-winning girls!

Brad Pitt Cowboys Up in London

Brad PittFlynetUK/FAMEFLYNET PICTURES
Brad Pitt knows how to suit up.
Angelina Jolie's other half is all decked out and duded up on the London set of The Counselor, which we're pretty sure is not about a dude who helps high schoolers choose a good college. The Ridley Scott-directed film is based on a screenplay by novelist Cormac McCarthy and will also feature Michael FassbenderPenelope CruzJavier Bardem and Cameron Diaz.
So what's it all about?
According to reports, the story concerns Fassbender's lawyer getting involved with Pitt's character, who's a shadowy (well, maybe not all that shadowy considering his getup) drug trafficker.
You might remember McCarthy wrote the deadly-drug-deal-gone-wrong novel that the gritty No Country for Old Men was based on, so we're fairly confident that some bad stuff is going to go down in this new story.
That said, at least Pitt will look stylish whatever the outcome.

Redmond O'Neal on Verge of Transferring to Outpatient Program

Redmond O'Neal is one step closer to getting a clean slate.
The only son of Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O'Neal was granted another sentencing delay this morning in a Los Angeles courtroom after yet another glowing probation report, as he creeps closer to one full year since his sentencing hearings began.

"You look great," Judge Keith Schwartz opened Redmond's hearing by saying to the troubled celebrity son. "I feel great, Your Honor," O'Neal replied.
O'Neal will continue treatment at a Pasadena rehab facility including consistent sessions with two different doctors and an electronic monitoring device. According to his reports from the rehab facility, O'Neal's random drug tests have consistently come back negative.
"Everything looks good; you are making outstanding commendable progress," Judge Schwartz said.

Schwartz said he would put off sentencing one more time, and if Redmond continued with his current progress, Judge Schwartz said he would segue him to an outpatient program.
Back in August, O'Neal pleaded no contest to a drug and weapons charge and was sentenced to a year in a live-in residential treatment facility. Subsequently, O'Neal admitted violating his probation by using drugs while in the facility.
"When I first saw you, you looked like a mess," Judge Schwartz told Redmond. "You look a thousand percent better." Judge Schwartz added, "You're not out of the frying pan yet," saying that he will continue to have Redmond on probation for five years, and one mess-up would mean six years behind bars.
O'Neal's next sentencing date is scheduled for Oct. 9 at 8:30 am.
"He's obviously doing very positive," Redmond's attorney Richard Pintal told E! News outside the courtroom. "The next step is moving on with his life, and that date is Oct. 9."

The 27-year-old O'Neal isn't the only member of the O'Neal clan in trouble. His half-brotherGriffin was sentenced to 16 months in a San Diego prison back in February after pleading guilty to two felony counts of driving under influence of drugs and possession of a firearm.

Dr. Dre Angers Olympic Organizers; Athletes Rebel Over Twitter Sponsor Restrictions

It's nothin' but a brand thing, but it's landing Dr. Dre in hot water with Olympic officials.
The hip-hopster has managed to accomplish what few music entrepreneurs have been able to do: crash the 2012 London Olympics with a stealth marketing campaign.
The International Olympic Committee is looking into whether it can take action after the Dre sent his Beats headphones sporting the Union Jack to a slew of Great Britain athletes, angering the IOC, which is seeking to safeguard corporate sponsors' brands.
Per Yahoo Sports, a number of Olympians have already been spotted out wearing the headphones at various events, including Monday's synchronized platform diving competition and a British soccer match.
To complicate matters further, some athletes, like Team Great Britain goalkeeper Jack Butlandand tennis player Laura Robson, sent out tweets about it before apparently removing them after incurring the displeasure of organizers.
Such unsanctioned marketing stunts are in violation of IOC rules that are meant to protect partners who have paid millions to have their brands on display during the Olympics and demand exclusivity. For instance, sponsor Panasonic has a direct stake in keeping its competitors, which include Dre, from trying to advertise their electronic wares.
"If there is a blatant attempt at ambush marketing or by a group of people with commercial views, then of course we will intervene," IOC President Jacque Rogge told reporters at a press conference before the Games began.
The British aren't the only ones digging Beats; U.S. swimmer Michael Phelps was said to be eearing them as well.
A rep for Dr. Dre was unavailable for comment.
This isn't the first time the "Nuthin' But a G Thing" hitmaker has tried to capitalize on the Olympics. In Beijing in 2008, Dre gave LeBron James the headphones and distributed pairs to members of the U.S. Men's National Basketball Team.
Meanwhile, some U.S. athletes have launched a Twitter campaign protesting the IOC's so-called Rule 40, a stringent regulation banning Olympians from promoting their personal sponsors on social media if they are not official London 2012 sponsors.
"I am honored to be an Olympian but #wedemandchange #rule40@NBCOlympics," tweetedU.S. hurdler Dawn Harper along with a twitpic of her teammates.
She also posted another picture of herself with tape covering her mouth and the words "Rule 40" written on it.
American sprinter Sanya Richards-Ross meanwhile complained that the IOC is failing to take into consideration the needs of the athletes to make ends meet themselves.
"We definitely don't want to start a war," Richards-Ross told reporters about the restrictions placed on them. "I'm definitely not forecasting more Twitter revolts or an uprising of the athletes."
But the Jamaican-born star noted: "Six billion dollars is trading hands around these Games while so many of my peers are struggling to stay in the sport. It's a global issue and it's an issue that is important to us. This is our only platform."
For its part, the IOC doesn't appear to be budging.
"Those athletes lucky enough to have a high-profile sponsor can work with them throughout the four years," replied IOC spokesman Mark Adams. "They have only one month where they can't do that."

Olympic Gymnast Louis Smith: Bronze Medalist and X Factor Hopeful!

Talk about multitalented!
Louis Smith, the Team Great Britain gymnast who won a bronze medal Monday at the London Olympics, isn't just a world class athlete: He's a singer, too!
In fact, the 23-year-old actually auditioned for X Factor four years ago
"I have made it through to the fourth round of X Factor, which is when I get to appear on television and meet Simon Cowell and the rest of the judges for the first time," he told The Telegraph in 2009. "I just really want to hear what Simon says about my voice—whether he thinks I could make it as a solo singer."
Although he didn't advance further in the competition, he isn't solely focused on gymnastics. "I'm still continuing with my training, but you've got to think about what you are going to do afterwards," he said.
Somehow we think this guy will have plenty of options.

First Look: Michael Douglas and Matt Damon Go Retro for Liberace Biopic

Wait, what year is it?
Both Michael Douglas and Matt Damon looked as if they just stepped out of the '70s as the two shot scenes for the upcoming biopic, Behind the Candelabra, in Beverly Hills on Monday.
The HBO flick, directed by Steven Soderbergh, finds Douglas tackling the role of Liberaceopposite Damon's Scott Thorson, the flamboyant pianist's much younger lover who successfully sued for palimony shortly before Liberace died of AIDS in 1987.
While there was no sign of smooching between the costars yesterday, Damon did reveal to us last year, while the project was still in development, that they will indeed be locking lips.
"It's scripted that there's more than one," the 41-year-old actor said at the time. "I never thought I would get to kiss Michael Douglas."
Behind the Candelabra is scheduled to air sometime in 2013

Trey Songz - 'Simply Amazing' (Music Video)

Check out the music video for R&B heartthrob Trey Songz' new single "Simply Amazing", the third official offering from Trey's upcoming album "Chapter V" out on August 21st via Atlantic Records!
"Simply Amazing" is a nice 'happy' R&B mid-tempo in which Mr Songz praises her lady friend, played in the video by actress Meagan Tandy, with lyrics like; "The girl's a work of art, and I can't help but stare". Awww. The song is not bad, I kinda like it, but for me it's just an 'album track'. Releasing this as a single is weak. At this point I'm afraid no other single from "Chapter V" will top the moderate success of "Heart Attack", which peaked at #3 on the R&B chart in the US, and at #43 on the Hot 100. As for the "Simply Amazing", in it Trey and Meagan Tandy show their chemistry and love riding bikes, hitting the beach or having an intimate moment under the sheets. We'll get to see beautiful locations of Malibu too. Enjoy!

Kate Middleton, Prince William and Prince Harry Cheer Zara Phillips on to Silver at Olympic Games

She may have been born with a silver spoon in her mouth, but the silver medal that now hangs around her neck is all her own doing.
Queen Elizabeth II's granddaughter Zara Phillips can now add Olympic medalist to her resume, as she took to the podium along with the rest of her Team GB equestrian team to celebrate their second-place finish in the Eventing Team Jumping competition.
And, as always, she had some pretty imposing support on her side, in the form of Prince William, Kate Middleton and Prince Harry, all of whom had once again turned out to cheer their cousin on to victory.
Zara and her teammates finished behind Germany and ahead of New Zealand. Along with the royal trio, her mother, Princess AnneCamilla, the Duchess of Cornwall; Princesses Beatriceand Eugenie; her brother, Peter Phillips; and her England rugby captain husband of one year (and one day, exactly) Mike Tindall were also on hand at Greenwich Park to witness her finish.
For the occasion, Kate recycled the same navy Smythe blazer she wore to yesterday morning's equestrian competition, pairing it with skinny jeans, her trusty LK Bennett wedges and a striped top. (And an umbrella. Welcome to summer in London.) Wills and Harry, meanwhile, swapped their navy Team GB polo shirts for a pair of white ones as they watched rapt from the stands, cheering wildly when Zara's placement was announced.
And of course there's a time and a place for a stiff upper lip, and medaling at your home country Olympic games isn't it.
After completing her jumps, the 31-year-old (14th in line to the throne, for those keeping track at home) and her horse, High Kingdom, took a fist-pumping victory lap around the ring.

Olympic Beach Volleyball Star Kerri Walsh Has Pinkeye, Will Still Compete

The games must go on!
For Olympic beach volleyball star Kerri Walsh, this means that even though she has pinkeye, she'll still compete.
Per ESPN, the 33-year-old athlete is taking antibiotics for her infection. Her husband, Casey Jennings, is also suffering from conjunctivitis, but their two sons, Joseph and Sundance, have luckily avoided catching it.

She and partner Misty May-Treanor are two-time defending gold medalists.
Walsh thanked fans for all their support on Facebook. "I'm too tired to write a little recap but before I hit the hay please know that your love, energy and support means the world to us," she wrote. "We can feel it!! Keep it coming. Please! We'll keep getting better -- I promise! Love and hugs from London."
We're rooting for Kerri to get past the pink and make her way to gold!

Justin Bieber Tweets Congrats to Olympic Swimming Golden Girl Missy Franklin

Forget Olympic fever; some of the competitors at the London 2012 games are clearly in the throes of Bieber fever.
Fresh off of tweeting his support to Canadian gymnast Dominique PeggJustin Bieber has set his sights on Team USA, and the object of his congratulations this time around is none other than star swimmer andour nation's current golden girl (who no doubt right now is a particularly fetching shade of red) Missy Franklin.
The 17-year-old phenom took home her first individual medal (a gold) yesterday in the women's individual 100-meter backstroke. And while Twitter congratulations poured in, one tweet stood out above them all.
"Heard @FranklinMissy is a fan of mine. now im a fan of hers too. CONGRATS on winning GOLD! #muchlove," Bieber tweeted last night.
And while Missy may be a now two-time Olympic medalist (she also was part of the women's relay team that took home bronze over the weekend), let's not forget she's also a teenager. And an excitable one, at that.
"I just died!" she tweeted, after retweeting Justin's congratulatory missive. "Thank you!"
Still, Bieber wasn't the only star who offered up a public well-done. Yesterday, her fellow Team USA swimmers, including Michael Phelpscheered her onas did American Idol's Scott McCreery.
"I am so grateful for everything that has happened," Franklin wrote. "God has blessed me with so much. Thank you so much for all the love and support."

Coronation Street star Geoffrey Hughes dies

The actor's family said that he passed away "peacefully in his sleep" on Friday night, and described his fight against the disease as "courageous".

Hughes began his small screen career in the 1960s in such shows as Z Cars and The Likely Lads, but found fame as binman Eddie Yates in Corrie during the 70s and 80s, eventually leaving the soap in 1984.

He went on to star in the BBC1 sitcom Keeping Up Appearances as the slobbish Onslow, and later played Twiggy in another BBC hit, The Royle Family.

Hughes also appeared in Heartbeat and Skins, as well as making guest appearances in the likes of Doctor Who and Casualty - and was the voice of Paul McCartney in the animated Beatles movie Yellow Submarine.

The actor - who was also Deputy Lord Lieutenant for the Isle of Wight where he lived - initially thought he had beaten prostate cancer in 2009, but he and his wife Sue discovered the disease had returned after collapsing at his home the following year.

Tributes poured in for the actor as news of his death became public, with William Roache - aka Corrie's Ken Barlow - among the first to express his sorrow.

"I am so sorry to hear about Geoffrey," he said. "He was a warm, lovable actor, with great comedy timing. He will be greatly missed, one of the Street's memorable characters."

A Coronation Street spokeswoman added, "We are very sad to hear of the death of Geoffrey Hughes. He created a legendary and iconic character in Eddie Yates who will always be part of Coronation Street. Everyone connected with the programme send our sincerest condolences to his family."

Amelia Lily - 'You Bring Me Joy'

Amelia Lily's "You Bring Me Joy", the first single from her upcoming debut album due out in stores in the UK on November via Sony Music - The 2011 'The X Factor UK' finalist's amazing single was produced by Xenomania, and has a clear inspiration by Girls Aloud's "Call The Shots".
Why a such a simple, mediocre video, though?. "You Bring Me Joy" sounds like a hit to me, but apparently not for Lily's label. The song deserved a big-budgeted MV (I was expecting neon-lasers-lights, a 'night' theme, wandering the streets calling for your love, a love affair plot) and something more visually-engaging and interesting. Instead what we see in the official "You Bring Me Joy" MV is Amelia riding the roads with her girlfriends on a convertible, acting the fool at a convenience store, hitting the beach, and dancing on the sand. Errr...no. By the way, why did they speed down "You Bring Me Joy"?. The 'faster' radio premiere sounded incredible. This sounds a little boring now. Oh boy, I just hope Amelia's single does great in the end. "You Bring Me Joy" knocks. Her label better get it together, and start the promo

Lacey Turner doesn't rule out EastEnders return

Former EastEnders star Lacey Turner has said she does not rule out a return to the soap at some point in the future.

Speaking to the Mirror the actress - currently starring in Living's supernatural drama Bedlam - admitted that she left Albert Square after seven years of playing Stacey Slater in order to explore new opportunities.

However she added, "I don't know whether I'll ever go back to EastEnders. I loved being Stacey and miss playing her.

"But at the moment I'm still happy and curious, so I'm exploring whatever else I can do."

The 24-year-old Londoner also admitted that filming Bedlam - in which she plays a character who can communicate with the deal - was a nerve-wracking experience.

"Working on the show has made me even more scared than I was before," she revealed.

"If I’m ever walking down an alleyway on my own I’m so nervous now. I’m always expecting something to jump out at me.

"For a role you have to put yourself as deep into the character as you can get because otherwise you can’t expect the audience to believe it."

Danny O'Donoghue: I'll miss Jessie J on The Voice UK

Danny O'Donoghue has admitted that he will miss having Jessie J as a judge on The Voice when it returns next year.

The Script frontman, who has previously said he will be back for a second series, all but confirmed rumours that Jessie will not be returning to the show - but added in an interview with The People that it had nothing to do with her alleged 'diva' behaviour on the first series.

"She wasn't a diva at all," he said. "I have never seen her throw tantrums.

"Jessie is incredibly articulate and she's headstrong. That sometimes can be misconstrued as being too arrogant. But she’s a brilliant role model for young women."

"I'm really sad she’s not coming back," he added. "We have a great friendship."

Both Danny and Will.i.am appear keen to return to the show next year, although Tom Jones has yet to say whether he will be back.

Meanwhile Danny also denied rumours that he and contestant Bo Bruce, whom he mentored on the show, were an item - although he did admit to having a new girlfriend.

"Everybody kind of bought into it but no, there’s nothing behind it," he said. "I'm back in touch with a girl I was seeing before I was in The Script. We've been texting. Watch this space."

Sean Beans wants a cameo in Corrie

Sean Bean has confessed he would love to make a cameo in Coronation Street - and told producers to give him a call.

The Sheffield-born actor made his name in British period drama Sharpe before forging a successful career as a Hollywood villain. He now stars in hit HBO fantasy show Game of Thrones.

But Sean told The Daily Star: "I would love to pop up in Corrie if they find me the right character. But maybe one that doesn't stay too long."

And it is not the first time Sean has asked for a role in Coronation Street. In 2010 he said said it was his 'favourite soap'.

He added: "They haven't contacted me or my agent about it. So it's over to them."

Lord of the Rings star Sir Ian McKellen, comedians Peter Kay and Roy Hudd and Status Quo rockers Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt are among stars who have appeared in the soap.

Olympics Roundup: Ryan Lochte Loses Chance to Flash Grill, U.S. Gymnasts Tumble, More

Is the Michael Phelps-Ryan Lochte rivalry officially out of gas?
Just as he did yesterday as anchor of the 400-meter freestyle relay, Lochte failed to bring it today in the 200-meter freestyle against Frenchman Yannick Agnel, who edged the Voguecover boy in both races.
And there wasn't any cause for grill controversy today, because the fatigued-looking Lochte missed the podium entirely.
"I did my best," Lochte told reporters afterward. "I guess sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. I gave it 110 percent. There's probably some things I messed up on, but you live and learn. [Agnel's] a great racer. There's no doubt about it. He's quick and he showed it last night and tonight. I'm happy for him. He did good."
But there's obviously a good reason why video of the U.S. relay team's victory in Beijing still has way more hits than anything the men have done this year, minus Lochte showing off his closet and explaining what a grill is.
Lochte, who reportedly wouldn't even have had one gold in his possession if he had persisted in wearing his grill on the podium the other day, has three more events with which to redeem himself, er, compete in, including Tuesday's 4x200-meter relay .
Phelps, meanwhile, won his heat and qualified for Tuesday's 200-meter butterfly finals, one of the four races still on his plate—which is somewhat tarnished for lack of gold so far.
The American frivals (friends and rivals, get it?) still have to qualify for their next possible head-to-head, which would be Thursday's 200-meter individual medley.
Here's what else went down around the Olympic complex on Monday:
Biggest Bummer: Sitting out the Olympic glory today with Lochte was the entire U.S. men's gymnastics team, which ranked first in the qualifying round but ended up in fifth place tonight. "It just didn't go as planned," said gymnast John Orozco, who muffed both the pommel horse (perhaps the most score-draining apparatus of all) and his vault. "I don't really know what happened." China won team gold, Japan silver and Great Britain bronze. Wait, what?!
Most Dramatic Vault: The Japanese men's gymnastics team successfully appealed its fourth-place finish and ended up in second place, knocking Great Britain from silver to bronze and original bronze winner Ukraine off the podium entirely.
Royal Reception: Prince Harry and Prince William took in the men's gymnastics final and were there to applaud for Great Britain's best team finish in 100 years. But first, they looked very concerned.

Most Inspiring Number: 17, the number of medals won so far by the U.S., which is now tied with China for most medals in London so far. Japan is a ways back with 11, and Italy is up to eight.
Golden Girl: Missy Franklin, 17 (see?!), won her first individual medal—and it was a gold one!—in the 200-meter backstroke. Before the Olympics began, the high school senior from Aurora, Colo., dedicated all of her races to the folks back home still reeling from the July 20 shooting at a local movie theater.
Splash on the Side: Providing punch for the U.S. men's swim team in Lochte and Phelps' figurative and literal absence were Matt Grevers and Nick Thoman, who finished first and second in the 100-meter backstroke.
As Per Usual: Roger Federer and Venus and Serena Williams won singles matches in straight sets over on the Wimbledon grass in quick succession. Andy Roddick, who's been struggling on the ATP tour, donned stars-and-stripes-printed trainers and won in straight sets.
Brewing Controversy: Tongues are starting to wag (without anything to go on besides jadedness, mind you) about 16-year-old Ye Shiwen, the Chinese swimmer who hammered the world record in winning the women's 400-meter individual medley, in which she swam the final 25 meters faster than the men's champ, Ryan Lochte. "Impossible," a U.S. official said, according to the L.A. Times, while the New York Times quotes a number of Ye's fellow swimmers calling her feat "pretty unbelievable," "interesting" and "insane."
